Design: Genomic DNA was isolated using the the NucleoBond HMW DNA kit (Macherey-Nagel) with an adapted protocol as described in Luttermann et al. (to be published). The sequencing library was prepared using a Rapid Sequencing Kit (SQK-RAD004, Oxford Nanopore Technologies) with changes as described in Luttermann et al. (to be published). Sequencing was performed using a R9.5 flowcell on a MinION sequencing platform according to the manufacturers instructions. Basecalling and demultiplexing were performed using albacore v2.3.1 and porechop v0.2.3.
